SEARS Marketing Plan Executive Summary Sears Holding Corporation is the fourth largest retailer in the United States and Canada. Its subsidiaries include Sears, Roebuck and Co. as well as K-Mart. The closing of the merger between Sears and K-Mart took place on March 24, 2005. Sears has more than 4,000 retail stores across the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Guam. Sears offers products and services through over 2,700 branded and affiliated stores. Sears operates 894 broad-line stores and 1,354 specialty stores. Sears’ broad-line stores are mall-based locations. The specialty stores include Sears Hometown Stores that are mostly independently owned, Sears Home Appliance Showrooms, Sears Hardware Stores, Sears Auto Centers,†¦show more content†¦The boards of directors include Edward S. Sears continues to showcase its top Brands including Craftsman, DieHard, and Kenmore. The Company also continues to market its fashion lines of products under the Brands of Lands’ End, Joe boxer, and Jaclyn Smith. Sears has also introduced the Kardashian Denim collection. With this new line of clothing Sears hopes to increase sales to teens and young adults. Sears will also offer deals to include markdowns and rebates throughout the year to promote many of its retail lines and market to the thrifty shopper. The retailer will continue to see aggressive competition from Target, Wal-Mart, JCPenney, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Home Depot and Lowes. These companies are some of the national retailers that Sears will have to contend with in order to survive. According to Sears Holding 2011, annual 10K Report with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Home Depot and Lowes are the company’s most fierce rivals of the major appliance category in which Sears accounts for nearly â€Å"16% of its entire revenue† (p.5). Most of the time these fixed views is made by the strong. A homeless person can be anyone, how they became homeless depends on their own story. If someone who has a stable job, a large amount of saving and their own keys to their own front doors, and are willing to gamble all that away because of their own stupidity, then of course is their own doing. But if someone who is willing and tried and tried yet still they have not succeeded, then yes, the strong must help the weak. As time passes everyone grows old, for people who could afford a pension can have a secure life until the very end, but for the other half it’s entirely different story. Old people are normally physically weak. For some they don’t even have a family or money so again it’s the duty of the strong to help the weak. Christians would agree with this statement because take the good of symaraphan for example, a man was robed, several people walked pass and at the end a person helped him and he wasn’t one of those people who was at high position of the church just a normal ordinary person. Some people think that making money is the main purpose of their lives; this goes against Christian teaching. Christianity says that having money is wrong if money becomes the main focus of a person’s life, or is gained dishonestly. In recent years the Christian churches have concerned themselves more with issues such as poverty and the fairer distribution of wealth in the world. A few very rich nations own most of the world’s wealth and therefore resources of all kinds are not distributed equally Muslims would also agree with this statement because one of the pilgrims is called zakah, zakah is 2. 5% of a Muslim’s income and savings after they have taken care of their families. The rich pay more than those with less money and very poor people pay nothing at all. Muslims can also give voluntary charitable donations called sadaqah when someone is in need. Answer: It is a well-known fact that stress is one of the most unpleasant experiences encountered by an individual, suffering from an intensely emotional strain that not only affects his inner peace of mind, but can also affect his health adversely. While in most cases, stress is only a temporary state of mind, and does not continue for a prolonged period of time, in a few cases, a stressed mind, suffering from depression over a longer period of time, can lead to panic attack, the suffering of which is not only profound, but is also long-lasting for the victim (Gomaa et al. , 2013) It has been observed that an individual suffering from sporadic panic attacks not only suffer from a feeling of sudden, intense anxiety and fear, but also tends to believe that the time is flowing much slowly, than in the ordinary times. The reason behind such feelings, can be traced to the fact that the individual suffering from panic attack feel incredible drained and tired, as a result of a sense of exhaustion and depression (Jnoda Janova, 2015). Usually, the people getting affected by the disease for the first or second time, have o knowledge about the symptoms of the disease, and fail to adopt the necessary measures to control the same. Consequently, they suffer from hyperventilation, whereby as a result of over-intake of oxygen, and excessive release of carbon-die oxide, the individual starts suffering from an uncontrolled state of anxiety and excitement, that makes them feel that even a single second is equal to more than an hour. Besides, it is equally important to note, tha t the individual suffering from intense stress or panic disorder, tends to concentrate on his mental conflict, inner disorder and the phenomenon occurring inside the head, that leads him to concentrate on the present moment, as a result of which he fails to feels the passage of time like any other normal human being (Essa et al., 2013). The waves of panic attack usually last for not more than an hour, and while the people who have been affected by this mental state of disorder previously, have a much comprehensive knowledge about the transience of the suffering, those who have not been affected by the disease, tend to put too much concentration on the feeling of intense pain, fear and horror experienced in a while. Resultantly, the individual unable to find or focus on any source of distraction or amusement, starts feeling that the present moment of pain will never cease, and will keep to continue. Besides, a person who has been suffering from depression, stress and anxiety over a long period of time, also develop the psychological suffering named paranoia. While suffering from panic attack, an individual already affected by paranoid anxiety will tend to be deluded, that it is impossible for his terrible state of mind to be pacified, and restored to normalcy. This is also the reason why he will believe that the time is flying on a much slower pace (Kumar et al., 2012). It should be remembered that any kind of stress or panic attack is accompanied by shaking, trembling and sweating, and if goes unchecked may lead to disruption of the healthy life. While the accelerated heart rate leads to the feeling that the bad time will never end, one should remain assured that it will not span for more than an hour.
